The origin
Like millions of other Indians, our founder once signed up for a 7-day trial of Adobe Creative Cloud, got busy with work, and completely forgot to cancel it. Three months later, while reviewing bank statements, the realisation hit — ₹1,675 had been silently auto-debited every month. Total damage: just over ₹5,000.
The most frustrating part wasn't the money — it was that no Indian app existed to prevent this from happening again. Every subscription tracker on the App Store was built for Americans with Plaid bank connections, priced in dollars, with no idea what UPI AutoPay even was.
Why now
In March 2026, the Reserve Bank of India publicly stated that with 87 crore UPI mandates active, users urgently need a single bird's-eye view across all their payment instruments. At the same time, complaints about unexplained UPI AutoPay debits rose sharply in late 2025.
The opportunity is clear: India spends thousands of crores on subscriptions every year, yet has zero India-first tools to manage them. SubTrack exists to close that gap — built around how Indians actually pay, communicate, and budget.

Who we are
SubTrack is currently an independent project built and run from India by Asquare India. We are not VC-funded, not a side-hustle of a larger company, and not building yet another bank-linked aggregator. We are a small team focused on one thing — making subscription spending visible and controllable for everyday Indians.
Where we're headed
The plan in 2026 is simple:
- Q3 2026: Launch the founding member program and ship the core web app.
- Q4 2026: Add WhatsApp reminders, Trial Watchdog, and PWA install support.
- Q1 2027: Family plans, advanced spend analytics, and CSV exports.
- Long term: A complete picture of every recurring rupee leaving your account — across UPI, cards, and bills.
